Hello!

Yesterday my disk ran out of space and spoolnews stopped.

Although, it doesn't want to start again.

Did it stop and log a message in spoolnews.log? (Low disk space)

Note, if you don't already, make sure you have something like:
// Disable spoolnews if less than this num in Gb free for spool

Try deleting the files in /var/spool/rslight/lock

As per my post in your other recent thread, I suggest you re-install.
Something is really messed up on your system's install.
